Andrea and Lucrezia Buccellati have conceived five "objets d’art" inspired by details of some of the great master painters of Impressionism and post-Impressionism. All jewels are one-of- a-kind and have been presented in New York in March 2015, alongside with the paintings that have inspired them: all these works of art have been extraordinarily exhibited in the Buccellati halls of the new 714 Madison store.
Claude Monet, Pierre Bonnard, Homer Winslow, Mikhail Larionov, Odilon Redon are the sources Andrea and Lucrezia took inspiration from and for the first time ever one of their paintings have been displayed beside a unique Buccellati creation.
The exhibition has been made possible thanks to the support of Wildenstein Gallery, that gave the opportunity to have the original paintings on display. During the week of March 9th, Buccellati has donated a percentage of sales to Save Venice, in support of its mission to protect the cultural patrimony of the city by raising funds to restore its monuments and works of art.
